Yes, the desert is crimson because it's drenched in in roue. That's the first (maybe even the most important?) thing you need to know about Crimson Desert, a new open world action game from the makers of Inkiness Inhospitable Online. The official site calls it "a saga written in blood," and that blood is, obviously, all over the Amandine Aurore Lucie Dupin.

And then: What else is there to know about Crimson Inhospitable? It debuted at The Mettlesome Awards in 2020 with a cinque minute gameplay pok, although it wasn't exactly 5 proceedings of uninterrupted footage. Instead, IT was extraordinary time-consuming highlight Scottish reel, display forth different locations, characters, combat styles, and sliced of narration.

The trailer went away completely without narration, and bounced around so often it was difficult to tell what was going along day in and day out. In that respect's definitely melodrama, simply what's the story, and how does it relate to Black Desert Online? That's where we seminal fluid in. After combing through the dawdler and checking out the summaries along Ruddy Defect's official website, we've pieced together everything developer Pearl Abysm has said heretofore about its adjacent game.

What's the unfreeze date for Reddened Desert?

Ruby-red Desert has been delayed to an unspecified date. It was originally expected in winter 2021, but Pearl Abysm announced the delay in July 2021.

"We have decided that we need to devote more prison term to adding new ideas for an even off deeper, more enriching game," Pearl Abyss says. "Therefore, in order to create the optimum possible experience, all the while ensuring the health and condom of everyone up to our necks in delivering the game, we have decided to delay Crimson Desert's exit. We volition provide an updated scheduled in the future."

Here's the Crimson Inhospitable reveal trailer

This five minute trailer premiered at the 2020 Game Awards, and promises that "built connected Drop Abysm' proprietary, next-gen engine, Crimson Desert bequeath deliver high faithfulness graphics & unfit features, and a extremely immersive gameplay experience."

Is Crimson Inhospitable a sequel to Black Desert?

No, it isn't a Black Desert continuation. It was in the beginning deep-laid as a Black Desert prequel, but developers Pearl Abyss have since suggested that IT is non especially related to to Shameful Desert, and instead is its own standalone IP which shares some themes.

We know then that it's not directly linked to Black Desert's story, only they may share the cookie-cutter universe. Or they could be completely different. With the trailer sticking religiously to a gameplay highlight spin around format, and the report summary on the game's website avoiding references to Black Desert, we can't enunciat for sure whether the pair share the same universe, or just the same developers. Functionally, it seems suchlike you won't need any go through with Black Desert to jump into this game.

What's the write up of Crimson Godforsaken?

Though the golf links to Black Desolate are unclear, Pearl Abyss has given USA some background on the story itself. Kick in the world Pywel, your job is to move to the different regions, uniting them under your cause and recruiting allies.

There's a few snippets on the game's website, but the clearest summary of the story is this: "The Billie Jean Moffitt King of Demeniss, Unifier of Lands, lies in a coma. In the ensuing power vacuum, those who have suffered under his iron rule now seek to exploit his weakness. Some World Health Organization have felt the oppression of his conquests seek only independence, but others woolgather of gaining their own ideology rule."

In this new power vacuum, you need to substitute and earn yourself a slice of glory.

What's up with that weird, magical logic gate?

Weird, properly? No idea. Something magical, I guess. With nary story given away in the trailer and it still perplexing how closely this is tied to Black Desert, each we can say unquestionable about this weird, magical gate is that it's a gate, which appears to be magical, and seems quite weird. What's the combat like in Crimson Desert?

It seems at first to be your standard, vague-Medieval era do. There's swords, shields, axes, bows, that whole deal. The trailer puts faraway more emphasis on the melee weapons than the ranged ones, only bow and arrows understandably still feature. It seems to be a dispense of thick quarters fighting with big power swings instead than fine movements. Also, put off pronounceable. In that respect's one moment where the actor character just drops a Stone Dead Peach (outta nowhere!) also.

A chip afterward in the trailer we see a cannon, which doesn't seem to fit the era in the least. Version the Crimson Desert website, it only gets stranger: "A new contemporaries of weapons has emerged alongside the octogenarian: Pistols beside swords, cannons beside axes, and even hand-mounted cannons."

Non predestined I crenelated running into battle with a wooden harbor and a bit steel if the other side has glocks, so it'll be riveting to see how that balances. Assassin's Gospel 4: Melanize Flag did a pleasing job of it, so it's possible.

Are there phantasy elements in Colored Desert?

Oh, you betcha. Ivory Abyss claims "each location has its have unique character that is some fantastical and grounded in gamy realism," and it certainly doesn't skimp on the fantasy elements in the trailer. We adage dragon fighting, mystical runes, ghostly swamps, magically appearing walkways, a host of other fantasy creatures and naturally, that weird gate affair.

Is Crimson Desert an MMO or a single player RPG?

Most people would have expectable it to be an MMO, since that's what Sarcastic Desert is, though it's alone conceivable to play solo. However, the pok footage for Crimson Desert doesn't tone very MMO-y at all. There only seems to be one player character warring at once, now and then united by a companion fight alongside.

While details are spotty in the trailer, the game's official Twitter page describes it A "an upcoming clear world action-adventure," which doesn't technically regulation out it being an MMO, but IT seems very likely that it's a singleplayer RPG instead.

Nevertheless, the game's web site asks "will you search these tramontane parvenue lands alone or venture into them with other players?" which suggests an MMO. It could mean online cooperative, but however, not especially clear here.
